More About Autoimmune Conditions

The National Institute of Health estimates that as many as 23.5 million Americans suffer from an autoimmune disease and that the prevalence of autoimmunity is on the rise. There are over 200 diseases that fall into the category of autoimmune. These diseases are chronic and can be life threatening.

Those who suffer from an autoimmune condition often encounter the dilemma of treatments being disease-specific and symptom-based. These treatments usually mask the symptoms while allowing the autoimmunity to progress uninhibited. This means that while the symptoms is targeted, the many other imbalances and triggers that continue to create the vicious cycle are ignored. This cycle causes the immune response to continue to flare up throughout the body. This is why patients suffering with autoimmune diseases may feel little to no improvement with conventional treatment.

Triad Health Center will use comprehensive tests to evaluate the imbalance that may be causing the immune response in the body. An individual my have multiple potential triggers, including: adrenal dysfunction, chemical imbalance, cellular inflammation, toxicity, insulin surges, dietary imbalance, deficiency syndromes, and lifestyle traits. Our goal is to help determine the triggers of the autoimmune response, then work with the patient to reduce and eliminate the triggers, restoring function and healing.
