Our Corrective Chiropractic Program

We offer a global full body, full spine approach and use a hands-on style of care. Our goal is to remove interference in the spine through corrective chiropractic adjustments and spinal rehab to allow the body to heal itself. We recommend chiropractic care for all ages and as a vital part of your new healthy lifestyle.

Health is all about healing and it all starts at the top, your brain. Your brain controls the function of every organ, tissue, muscle, and cell in your body by communicating with them through your spinal cord. Misalignments in your spine can choke your spinal cord and nerves, disrupting the communication of the brain to the body and vice versa. These misalignments will lead to dysfunction within the body. Chiropractors are trained to locate these areas in your spine and remove the interference with painless spinal adjustments. When your spine can return to it’s normal state, your body is free to function at its fullest potential.

Most Common Questions

A chiropractor is the only national and state licensed professional who is trained to detect and correct subluxations (misalignments in vertebra). The correction of subluxations is done by specific chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractic is safe for all ages.
Subluxation is when a bone in the spine (vertebra) becomes misaligned causing pressure on a nerve in the spinal cord. This disrupts the normal communication between the brain and the body. Subluxations can be caused by physical and/or emotional trauma to the body (injuries, stress, depression, toxins) and are sometimes present without any pain at all.
Chiropractors obtain a doctorate in Chiropractic or DC from a licensed University. Chiropractors focus on natural healing and have a deep understanding of the brain-body connection, spinal anatomy and biomechanics, and natural methods of healing. Prerequisites are required during undergraduate studies before a student can apply for Chiropractic college. Once accepted, the student will need an additional 3-4 years in Chiropractic School before receiving their doctorate. Chiropractors spend one year in residency during their studies before they are required to take and pass national exams in order to be “board certified” both nationally and by the state in which they practice.
There are many safe and gentle techniques in the chiropractic profession used to remove subluxations. Similar to exercising for the first time, you may experience soreness and muscle stiffness after your adjustment. However, just like getting braces on the teeth to straighten them over time, corrective chiropractic care will focus on removing misalignments of the spine and strengthening the surrounding tissues so your spine may return and stay in it’s normal and natural alignment. Triad Health Center takes care of all ages, including infants.
Understand that pain may not be the cause of your problem, but the warning sign of a deeper underlying condition. Feeling well is just a part of achieving true health and chiropractic care has a very good reputation of reducing or completely alleviating pain. However, it is very important to understand that the goal of your care needs to be to address the cause of the pain so not only will the pain subside but the underlying root cause is addressed.
The frequency of your care is determined upon the results of your x-rays and examination. In order to restore the spine back to the state in which is was designed to be in, time is needed. We will sit down with you after your initial examination and put together a plan for you to address the cause of your health problem. You will know your time commitments to the office and at-home care before being accepted as a practice member at the office. We encourage chiropractic care to become a routine part of your new lifestyle!
