What is Emotion Code Therapy?
The specialized type of emotional release therapy we provide at Triad Health Center is known as the Emotion Code.
This simple yet transformative healing method works by detecting negative emotions stored in the subconscious mind that can go as far back as when you were in your mother’s womb. These trapped emotions cause pain, self-sabotage, emotional problems and all kinds of malfunction and disease, such as physical pain, anger, depression, chronic fatigue, PTSD, phobias, or panic attacks.
There are a total of 60 negative emotions and the subconscious can be considered the blueprint to your entire body. Within the subconscious lies information that knows everything about you and why you experience specific conditions or deal with specific situations the way that you do.

Why the Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code is a powerful method of finding and releasing trapped negative emotions that have been stored in the body through our subconscious minds’ desire to protect us from further suffering.
Emotions profoundly affect the quality of our life. Our experience of low frequency emotions — like fear and anger — feel very different from our experience of high frequency emotions — like love and gratitude. The latter creates the powerful brain and heart coherence that regulates our nervous system, creates balance, and allows our body to heal.
God wants us to live in abundance here on Earth, to live full of peace, joy, gratitude and love! In one reference from the Bible, Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for your life.” The higher we vibe, the better we function and heal. That’s how energy healing works to potentially improve physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, & life-related ailments!
And science has come in agreement, with epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology, and quantum biology finding that feeling positive emotions positively changes our biology at the cellular level. Feeling negative emotions does the opposite impacting our body, mind, and spirit.
Being our best self requires that we shed what holds us back. When we take responsibility for the health of our energetic spirit and pair that with healing intention, we move toward the higher vibrational state that’s required to balance, regulate, heal, and thrive.
Every emotion has its own energetic frequency. When emotional energies lodge in the body, the frequency causes an imbalance affecting the organs and tissues, or disturbs your whole energy field, thoughts and mood. Dr. David Hawkins’ Consciousness Scale shows how negative emotions vibrate at much lower frequencies, affecting your whole life view, health and experience.
Releasing trapped negative emotions can help remove the imbalances, allowing your body to heal itself, leading to a healthier and happier life as you resonate more positive energy!
It’s possible to let go of negative emotions by allowing ourselves to experience them, but we don’t usually do this so they become trapped. Luckily, with emotional release therapy, and specifically the Emotion Code technique, we can find and easily release your trapped emotions.
What Are Trapped Emotions?
Trapped emotions are negative emotional energies that we still carry around from past events, traumas or abuse. Trapped emotions can cause a variety of “symptoms,” include health related as well as in relationships, career, or success. They can block people from finding true love and happiness and make them feel disconnected or lonely.
Trapped emotions are made of energy, just like the rest of the body, and they can affect physical tissues, organs and overall wellness. Trapped emotions can create pain, malfunction and possibly disease. In addition, trapped emotions can exert a dramatic effect on how you think, the choices that you make, and how you react to every day challenges.
Think of trapped emotions as balls of energy that can be stuck in the body. They vibrate at different frequencies depending on the particular emotion. The trapped emotion, or negative vibration, can often affect the part of the body where they are stuck, but can also disturb overall balance and health.
Trapped Emotions are identified individually and released one at a time, not in groups or bundles.
Every trapped emotional energy is significant in your life. Each one has had an impact on you in some way or another. Each comes from a specific time or event that was experienced either by you or someone else that you inherited or absorbed the energy from. These energies affect us in a variety of ways and create challenges, problems and pains of all sorts, both physical and emotional.
Whatever their origin, they certainly can make an impact on your life. There are times when trapped emotions can be excruciating! When significant pain like that is present, you might find trapped emotions nested in the area of pain.
Releasing trapped emotions balance the body so it can regain its full healing capabilities. Utilizing the Emotion Code, you may see physical and emotional issues disappear or become much less severe.
RESTORE YOUR INNER PEACE
How Are Trapped Emotions Released?
Following a simple 4-step system, your practitioner can efficiently and painlessly remove your underlying trapped emotions:
Will I Feel the Emotional Release?
You might! Many of our clients report various sensations as the energy moves out of them. These include yawning (which is a big sign of energy release!), getting the chills, a wave of nausea, momentary headache, sometimes burping, a surge from the center out to the hands and feet, and more. It all depends on your body. Sometimes clients simply feel the particular emotion we are releasing, like anger or sadness. And sometimes they feel nothing, which is fine and normal.
What Happens After Releasing Trapped Emotions?
Your body knows exactly how many trapped emotions it can release and in what order it wants to release them. Your practitioner will help to find these answers from your body during your session.
Most of the time you will find that you can identify and release about five to ten trapped emotions in a thirty minute session. This is typical, but sometimes you may find that your body will only allow you to release two or three emotions in a session, and that’s okay. Trust the wisdom of the body!
When you have released all your body can release in a session, usually you will lose the ability to be tested momentarily because your body is processing and is on a state of overload. When that happens, you are done for the time being, until the next session generally. This usually takes 1-2 days, but can take up to 4 or 5 days for some people. Again, your practitioner will help to find these answers from your body during your session.
Each person is different in their process, from how many emotions they can release in one session, to how they feel afterward. How many trapped emotions are involved in one issue you are having varies as well. The whole process is completely customized to you!
HEALING FOR ALL
Children Get Trapped Emotions, Too!
A common misconception is that this kind of emotional release therapy is only applicable to adults. We often think of children as being too young and innocent to acquire the excess baggage that we have acquired through our years as adults. Sadly, children have emotions that they need help with as well.
The truth is that children and teens face a wide range of challenges, and it can be difficult for adults to understand their child’s perspective and the impact that experiences of the world can have on them. The Emotion Code addresses the root of the imbalances, which can be physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual.
Self-esteem or social issues
Fear or obsessive worrying
Autism, Asperger Syndrome or PDD-NOS
Chronic illness or other physical dis-ease
Body image issues or eating disorder
Have experienced abuse (mental, emotional, physical, sexual)
Depression or mood changes
Struggling at school
Following medical or dental procedure
Bedwetting, nightmares, night terrors
Indigo, crystal, and rainbow children
Traumatic birth or other trauma / injury as an infant
ADHD, ODD or OCD
Struggling with spiritual gifts
Have been bullied or are bullying others
Experiencing the divorce of their parents
Will be or have recently received a vaccine
High anxiety, sensitivity, or heightened emotional responses
Even children who aren’t suffering from any imbalances can benefit from an energy healing session as part of their wellness routine. Sessions not only remove trapped negative emotions and other imbalances that may not yet be outwardly affecting the child, but also work to maintain a healthy and high-vibrational energy field, which is essential to general wellbeing.
Teens, children and infants of any age can be tested, verbal or not. Most often we find trapped emotions in a child from when they were in the womb. Usually, these are the mothers emotions during pregnancy, although sometimes they can come from the father or even from somebody else living with the family at the time; like a grandmother, grandfather, or sibling.
Children also acquire trapped emotions during birth, school, family events, or any other occasion in their lives. These trapped emotions can have an effect on their behavior and possibly lead to learning difficulties and relationship issues.
Emotional release therapy is a great option for the whole family! Family dynamics can be greatly improved and it is a worthwhile investment.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Please fill out your INTAKE PAPERWORK completely. We recommend bringing in the original printed version, completely filled out, to your appointment. Alternatively, you may e-mail a digital copy to us: staff@triadhealthcenter.com
We recommend you dress comfortably for your appointment. You may be asked to stand or sit during your session. You may like to bring a notebook, pen and water bottle with you.
It is recommended to drink water before each Emotional Release Therapy session. Good cellular hydration helps your sessions to be more effective and may ease the Processing Period.
At your first appointment you will meet with practitioner Linda Hood, CECP, 1-on-1 for an in-depth review of your intake paperwork, history, and discussion of your needs and goals through emotional release therapy.
Following your consultation, you will receive a 30-minute Emotional Release Therapy session to begin addressing your needs and goals.
The length of the entire first appointment is typically 70-90 minutes.
Following your initial visit, your practitioner will recommend any additional testing and customize a treatment plan for you based on your body’s needs and response.
You will receive a Session Report within 72 hours following your appointment, as well as an invitation to schedule your next session.
If there is something that you know has impacted you strongly that may be the underlying cause of what you are experiencing, you are more than welcome to bring it to your session. You may disclose as much of it as you feel comfortable to your practitioner. Often times you just have to put your attention on it, and that will be enough for the practitioner to test if there are any stored energies or emotions about the event.
You may have been living with your emotional baggage (traumas, stress or abuse) for a long time, so it’s important to let your body lead the way when is comes to releasing the trapped negative energy.
When an emotion is released though Emotional Release Therapy, the body is finally allowed to go through a Processing Period – or healing period, which usually lasts for a day or two.
About 20% of the time, people will notice “symptoms” of processing, such as: emotional sensitivity, crying, sleeplessness, a need for more sleep, vivid dreams, mild headache, or fatigue. Very rarely, an exacerbation of physical or emotional symptoms occurs, but like all processing it should last only about a day or two at most.
At the end of your appointment, your practitioner will inquire how long your body wants to process the changes that arose from the session. This Processing Period may coincide with one or more mild yet noticeable symptoms, or not.
Most people tend to feel lighter and happier after an emotional release. If this doesn’t occur right after the release, it usually occurs after the Processing Period is completed.
Following each session, you will receive your Session Report, which is a summary of your entire energy healing session. Your report will include an account of what you and your practitioner worked on, which emotions were detected and released, any recommendations or homework your practitioner provided, and any other important information discussed during your session.
Your report will be emailed to you as a PDF attachment within 72 hours after your appointment. The report won’t include any identifying information beyond your name and the general information as outlined above.
An inherited trapped emotion is simply a bit of emotional energy that is received from a parent at the moment of conception. It comes along with all the other DNA and physical material – in the egg if it’s from your mother and in the sperm if it’s from your father.
There is a difference between “Inherited emotions” and “Absorbed emotions”.
Inherited trapped emotions cannot become trapped at any point after you are conceived, just as you cannot inherit any genetic trait after you’ve already been conceived.
After conception and at any other point in your life, you can absorb a trapped emotion from another person, including a family member, but that is called an “Absorbed emotion.” That is when someone else generates an emotion and you absorb that energy into your body. Both inherited and absorbed emotions can become part of the Heart-Wall.
Inherited trapped emotions can go back multiple generations. We can help you detect and release both inherited and absorbed emotions.
The term Heart-Wall defines unresolved, unprocessed and trapped emotions carried around the heart. It is estimated that 93% of the human population have a literal wall of negative energy surrounding the heart, made of multiple layers of trapped emotional energy.
The Heart-Wall is created by the subconscious mind in order to protect the heart from grievous injury, and it’s a good thing we have this protective mechanism when we need it. The problem is that having a Heart-Wall is like living in a bomb shelter – it’s nice to have its protection while the bombs are falling, but if you have it forever you’ll end up feeling disconnected and unfulfilled!
One of the best parts of Emotional Release Therapy is the ability to remove the Heart-Wall! Read more on the Heart-Wall.
This question is asked frequently, and it really varies between each person. Your intake session will be effective and allow you to experience the results of Emotional Release Therapy.
If you are dealing with an emotional trauma, stress or abuse that was severe or has been with you for a long time, it may take more than one session to fully release and process all the trapped emotions from that trauma. Following your initial visit, your practitioner will recommend any additional sessions based on your goals, needs and response to the first session. Typically this will be between 3-5 sessions and no more than one week apart. Your practitioner will advise you on what will be best for your optimal healing.
Most clients prefer to come back once or twice per month for maintenance sessions once their major traumas have been released. You can choose to have weekly or bi-weekly sessions, too, if you wish.
Yes! We have seen amazing results when working with clients who have addictions. We believe this is because most of the time addictions aren’t a problem; they are usually someone’s solution.
People tend to abuse drugs/alcohol/coffee/food/porn etc. because it helps relieve whatever pain they may be in and don’t want to feel (i.e. underlying trapped emotions). Once clearing someone’s trapped emotions, the underlying cause of the addiction is released.
It has been our experience that we have yet to find someone that doesn’t experience any shifts. That doesn’t mean they always knew they were experiencing changes and shift. For some people it is subtle or builds with each session, and for others they experience immediate change with each session. Even if you do not feel a difference, often others around you can see and feel it.
Prices vary by which type of service you choose. For your first appointment, you must start with the Intake Assessment. You can view the full list of service options here.
